I have question on the Introduction part of April 2023 exam. In examiner's report it is mentioned that paper is prepared by Laurie Smith. I am not sure where this name is coing from as it is not mentioned anywhere in Exam or Scenario material. How do students know this? From where it is coming from?

Hi - it's just a made-up name as (like you say) there isn't one given to use.

Never use your own name, so either:
    (i) use the name indicated in the question (if there is one)
(ii) use one that is made up
    (iii) just write <name>

The most important thing is to include it somewhere and show that you know where it should go.

Thanks for your reply but does using any random name is a correct thing? Because instructions says that you should not use any information outside the material.

That's not what that means! It's referring to using factual / technical details to answer the question that haven't been included within the information provided. For example, don't use Reason X to explain why the results are as they are, when there is no mention whatsoever of X within the information provided. A made-up name is way outside that.

But if you're concerned about it, just use '<name>'
