Hello, I have just booked on for CA3 later this year and only just now thought about the possibility of doing a preparation day. The next available date is only 5 days before the exam. Do we think this is too close to the exam to be able to get much value from it? i.e. should I have done most of the work by then anyway.
There's no denying that 5 days is leaving it very late, but I still think you'll benefit a great deal from the tutorial (but I'm biassed - ask your colleagues who've done the tutorial for a more objective opinion!). Don't forget the profession recommends 50 hours study MINIMUM before doing the exam - and they're thinking about raising this recommendation to at least double that. Just look at the pass rates for CA3 - most people are failing at each session (the average is about 43% passing each time) - and my gut feel is that the main reason is because people don't give it the time it deserves. Don't forget there's the Online Classroom and Mock Exam days too... Best of luck Ian
