I'm confused over question 12 part iib)
it asks us to find the CRLB which we do by differentiating the log differential. However in the examiners reports, when differentiating it doesn't seem to make use of the product rule?

The log differential is

I don't understand why the product rule or quotient rule hasn't been used?

Could you please explain. Thank you!

They've actually shortened the process but I believe you will arrive at the same answer.
