Amongst other things, the IFoA's Disciplinary Committee claims that when charges against actuaries were dismissed in 3 out of 6 Disciplinary Tribunal Panel cases during 2020-2021, "it is incorrect to say that the IFoA lost 3 cases". See https://www.reddit.com/r/Actuary_news/comments/rm5hbj/my_candid_thoughts_on_the_ifoa_disciplinary/ for details, and https://www.reddit.com/r/Actuary_news/comments/rm7o2g/how_confident_are_you_in_the_ability_and/ for a poll in which you can express your confidence (or otherwise) in the Disciplinary Committee. I wonder what the equivalent of the Disciplinary Committee is with regard to charges that the IFoA brings against students under the Assessment Regulations? Is there any such equivalent (or is the Assessment Regulations disciplinary process completely unaccountable?), and if so, is it any better than the Disciplinary Committee?
