Dear Team ,

please clarify in one poisson sum it ask that the consultant would like to meet atleast 8 client .

so i have used the probability as p(x>=8)= 1-p(x=7)

is it correct , as the answer in the book coming as 98.5%

my answer is coming as 99.7%

please clarify

It looks like you've not allowed for the condition that there need to be at least 2 people waiting before the consultant proceeds to meet a client.

So, in order to ensure that the consultant meets at least 8 clients in the next three hours, 10 clients are required to visit the lawyer’s office in that time period.
