Hi This question asks us to evaluate the ultimate position using BF method. We were given the expected proportion developed in each development year (say 98% in year 3), but in the solution, the expected-ultimate is multiplied by 2% and this was then added to the development-to-date to get the revised-ultimate. I had used the expected-ultimate, divided by 0.98, then minus the original expected-ultimate. The difference was then added back to development-to-date to get my version of revised-ultimate. Where have my thought process gone wrong?
