Anyone have any idea why the % of students passing for ST7 appears to be lower than ST8? They seem pretty well matched in terms of difficulty and content in my opinion.
You'd need to ask the examiners! Personally, I suspect it's because ST8 has more "mathsy" content that students can really nail on the day, whereas the ST7 exam often requires a subjective analysis.
could also depend on order of sitting; if more were to sit ST7 before ST8 then their chances improve with the second exam, due to the overlap of material? (purely for hypothesis purposes)
