Hello, Does anyone know how to calculate a whole life annuity in advance and an increasing life annuity in advance when x=60, AM92 (ult )life table and the interest is 8% ???
First of all, where does the question come from - an old exam paper, or somewhere else? There's nothing in the Tables for AM92 using an interest rate of 8% (though there's some stuff at 8.16%). So if you need values at 8%, you could write yourself a spreadsheet to calculate them from first principles. The summation formula to use for the whole of life annuity in advance is given on page 9 of Chapter 2 of the current version of the notes. You can amend that summation to cover an increasing annuity. You'll need to type in quite a few lx values from the Tables to calculate the probabilities, but it's possible.
