Why renewal commissions do not increase with inflation in real life?

    I have attached a picture for this. I am actually wondering why this is the case. Can anyone please help? Thank you!

    Commission is usually defined as a fixed percentage of the premium - eg 2.5% of each premium each year. So, as the premium is usually level, then so is the renewal commission.
